Michelle McCosker – Naturopath

Michelle McCosker – NaturopathMichelle McCosker

“I love natural medicine because it gives people the opportunity to take control of their health. It guides the body to do what it is naturally designed to do – restore balance. What is the most exciting about this is it applies to any situation.” ~ Michelle McCosker

Locally born in Tweed Heads Hospital, Michelle grew up in Palm Beach and now lives in the picturesque and tranquil Tallebudgera Valley (where most of the website photos seen on this site were shot) with her partner and two sons. Michelle worked her way up to a successful career in the finance industry straight out of high school for 16 years. Her passion for health was sparked when she first visited a Naturopath, 20 years ago, for help with a constant sniffle and endometriosis. It was the benefit and huge improvement that she experienced from the Naturopathic treatment that has been her driving force ever since. Michelle never realised how good she could feel. 11 years later she took a huge leap of faith and left the finance industry to study full time, work part time and raise her son.

“I love helping people – it’s just what I was meant to do. When I was at college, one of my lecturers said the more twists and turns you have experienced in life, the better a practitioner you will be. I seem to fit that description and think that is why I can relate to anyone. What I love seeing and hearing is the positive changes that my patients experience when they have followed the treatment plan and that their health is no longer in control of their daily life.” ~ Michelle McCosker

Michelle will listen to what you want to achieve and devise a treatment plan that is individualised to you to give you the best opportunity to reach your health needs in a realistic timeframe. Everyone should have the ability to make informed choices when it comes to their health. Often there are alternatives to mainstream medicine that most people aren’t aware of. This relates in particular to Michelle’s passion and specialisation in Natural Fertility Management, Pregnancy, Newborn and Children’s Health.

Being a mother of two and having had a previously high stress career Michelle understands that making drastic changes to your diet and lifestyle are not always easy or realistic. Michelle will work with you and discuss how any required changes can be worked into your personal and family situation. Having two children of her own with 12 years between them, she can relate well to children and the hurdles you may face in improving their health.

Michelle also knows personally, the emotions and stress that come with trying to conceive, that is what makes her the person you want to see for infertility issues. Whether you are planning a family in the next 6 months or have been trying to conceive for some time, Michelle will put your mind at ease and make this process informed and stress free. Natural Fertility Management is your option before you try Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), including IVF. Many of Michelle’s clients have found they have not had to use these methods or only very few have used them in combination with Naturopathic support.

Michelle Studied at the Australian College of Natural Medicine (ACNM) which became Endeavour College of Natural Medicine and graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science – Naturopathy. She is also a member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia.

Michelle currently practices from Burleigh Town Amcal, Stockland Shopping Centre Burleigh Heads and My Own Midwife GC 2B/34 Tallebudgera Creek Rd, Burleigh Heads.
